Live Event Hire

live4events1live2live3 live5about1How we came to do live sound

After years of successfully running the retail and case manufacturing businesses we were asked on many occasions if we could provide a live sound service by local bands and people visiting the area to do gigs. It made sense – we have the equipment, knowledge and I have played in bands for many years….so The Gig Shop Sound and Lighting came to be. We began by investing in some quality,Canadian built Yorkville speakers and an Allen and Heath 32 channel desk.

Where we are now

We now have four mixing desks, including a Soundcraft 40 channel and our favorite new acquisition – a 16k active QSC line array system. To compliment this we have an impressive light show with towers, trussing and Avolites console. We have our own modular stage, drum riser, drum kit and backline. We also have a marquee to cover the stage outdoors.
